R0.5 is a sculpture from our Making Waves collection, and its cascading geometries reference a ‘Reproduction’ number of COVID-19. An ‘R’ number is the average number of people that one infected person will pass a virus onto another person, and the entire world needs to reduce the R number to below R1.0 in order to stop the spread of COVID-19. The lower the R number, the smaller the wave of the virus, and the smaller the wave of our Making Waves sculptures.
